Preparing for a Colonic

Hydrate!

  • Water is a fluid that is part of your immune system, which helps you fight off illness.

  • Your body needs water to digest your food and get rid of waste.

  • Drink at least 64 oz of fluids daily (water, fresh juice, herbal tea) . This will help to soften your stool.

  • DO NOT substitute with coffee or soda! These caffeinated drinks have the opposite effect or dehydration.

  • Avoid drinking anything 1 hour prior to your appointment.

  • And...if you are particularly constipated, take an herbal laxative the night before your session (please stay away from chemical laxatives. You can stop by our office to pick up our M'lis Cleanse that we recommend to our clients or you can go to your local health food store

Eat Heathy Food:

  • Avoid eating anything heavy 1 hour prior to your appointment.

  • You will receive abdominal massage, so it’s most comfortable if you arrive with an empty stomach, (or only eat something light, don't come hungry) and an empty bladder.

  • Make fruits and vegetables 50% of your diet and avoid gas-producing food and congesting foods

Exercise!

  • Schedule some exercise either the day of or day prior to having a colonic.

Swim, walk, ride a bicycle, run, dance, garden, play with your children, clean, or practice yoga or pilates. Rebounding (bouncing on a mini trampoline) is fabulous for toning the colon and other organs as well as for stimulation of the lymphatic system.

Be Timely

  • To assure that you receive your full treatment, please be on time.  If you need to complete health forms and needed paperwork, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment.  To save time, you may also download the forms needed from this website under HEALTH FORMS, and bring them with you completed.
